Memorial Day BBQ – Monday, May 27th at 4 PM:
Oh say can you see, by the coals heating true – that the hot place to be is our first BBQ! On Memorial Day
Monday, whether returning from a day sail or a weekend out and around the town, join us at 4 PM as our Culinary Killer Grillers sear to
perfection. Music, tasty favorites at the coals and salad bar, good friends, good times!

Annual Blessing of the Fleet – Sunday, June 23rd at 1300:
Ensure a great season with this multi-denominational blessing of your vessel: The City Island Sail and Power
Squadron and the Leonard Hawkins American Legion Post announce the Annual Blessing of the Fleet will take place at Fenton's Marine dock,
east side of City Island. Boats are to assemble in City Island Harbor by the Hart Island ferry dock at 1230 – Communications on
VHF 71 will commence at that time. |

CIYC Club Boat Program:
All of the benefits, none of the grief! Building on last year's success and a healthy demand, the CIYC Club
Boat Program continues boat acquisitions chosen to satisfy both day-sailing and racing passions. Whether you're new to the sport,
between boats, or interested in meeting new sailing companions, this program makes it a breeze to enjoy the great pleasures of sailing
and Yacht Club membership.
CIYC is partnered with Oakcliff Sailing Center.

2013 CIYC Racing:
It's all about preparation meeting opportunity, and we're providing the opportunity! Dates and information for
all CIYC races is now available on our Regatta page, and registration is open for our 77th Annual Distance Race, 33rd Annual Women
Skipper's Race and 60th Annual Day Race. In addition, CIYC will host a breezy 5 race JAM series again this year – perfect for a
taste of fun and excitement for friends, family and those new to the game.

Help Rebuild City Island Yacht Club:
City Island Yacht Club has been busy since Hurricane Sandy came ashore with violent winds and tides on October
29th, 2012. As many of our neighbors, CIYC did not escape unscathed. Assessment of damages takes time to process with insurance
companies and other institutions, but our numbers are in. CIYC is reaching out to our members and friends of CIYC for assistance in
rebuilding the dock and club house. A Fundraising effort has been initiated to reach the Club's goals.

AYC Spring Series Regatta:
Whirlwind – William Purdy and crew: 1st Place, PHRF Division 2 and winner of the Rampant Trophy for Best Performance of
all PHRF Divisions.
